On The Topic Of Art Museums
An art museum is classically a place where many people have come to
enlighten themselves of what has entailed of the past, and an art museum is
truly no different but for the materials which stand on display, paintings
and statues and other works that represent the body of what we come to know
as artistic history. From the medieval age on into the present day, there
are many artistic merits that have been presented for the public to
understand and interpret in their own way, and can be used to promote ideas
whether as inspiration or as reflection of the world around us.
The art world is a varied and multitudinous field for anyone to dive head
long into, but not every piece of art is exactly the same, as art is always
in flux with the artist serving as the interpreter of the environment them.
By focusing this expression through the many options available to the
artist, and the artist can create anything through these many different ways
of expression, there are many specific museums to handle these items from
painting to architecture.
However an art museum strikes a person, it is always unique because of the
individual’s ability to reinterpret another’s designs and expressions, and
there are many ways to which a person can be affected by the various works
of art throughout the museums’ halls and walls. It is in that gap between
the audience and the artist that the many various artworks can be truly
enlightening or disturbing to the person’s standard ways of thinking, or
their established ways of breaking down information about their own world,
art history cannot be overlooked as a means to furthering a person’s
understanding.
